Ho'i Hou Ke Aloha –
Let us fall in love all over again
Sushi - Isana (great happy hour) + Miso Phat (more trendy)
Ohai Loop Trail- great for hiking
Lahaina Pali Trail- (its around 5.5 miles from one end to the other and pure sunlight so I recommend going early- not too hard but it's not an out and back and there is no signal on the other side of the mountain. You can definitely go to the other side and hike back if you have time/ enjoy longer hikes. Windmills are super cool)
Haleakala Volcano- Super super cold in the AM but sunrise is beautiful. Definitely bring your own jacket if the tour doesn't provide. You can also bike down after sunrise but it can be a bit dangerous.
Road to Hana - definitely do the whole thing. Red sand beach was incredible. Black sand beach in the park is reservation only and you NEED to be there within your time slot. We were 4 minutes after and they refused us entry. I would do the road North to South and the South end is BEAUTIFUL but you definitely need a jeep/ good car as the roads get a bit dangerous. I would leave SUPER early for Road to Hana and make a full day of it unless you are planning to stay a night over there. The banana bread is to die for so highly recommend + there's a few food truck spots that are incredible as well. Other than that definitely bring snacks + change of clothes as it rains a lot over there and can be a little chilly. Seven sacred pools stop was our favorite and the waterfall at the end was incredible. The back side of Haleakala was 10/10 my favorite. There's rainbows the the sun is out and tons of green/hills. Reminded me of New Zealand. There's so many apps to download that give you a guided tour so they basically tell you where you are on the road and about different stops coming up. We were with locals but I heard it's best to use one of them.
Makena Big Beach- was definitely one of my favorite beaches in terms of a chill vibe. There's a bunch of locals skimboarding and they're super talented so it's great.
Black Rock Beach for snorkeling is really all you need but if you want to do a tour to the smaller islands it is cool. You can usually see a ton of spinner dolphins.
Kihei Cafe is good for brunch
Lava Rock is a chill place for dinner - its in the Triangle which is apparently the go to spot for going out over there.
Paia Fish Market- Great place for paia but the line gets long.
Luau in Wailea was super cool. Definitely an experience.
Maui Brewing Company- very chill vibes, great food, they book up quick so would be strategic about the time you go. weekends are packed!
Lahaina - usually this is close to where you can catch boats for snorkeling tours. Great for shopping and Maui ice is apparently a go to / must have. They have cool art + lots of surfing brand stores.
Lanai- This is usually where you go for snorkeling. It was cool but nothing SUPER great. Saw more sea turtles and fish @ Black Rock Beach.
Tamura's Poke is amazing! It's in a liquor store which is SO deceiving. But great stop
